To get started:

Please allow 15 minutes before your first class to set up

You will need one of these:

Laptop or Computer with webcam, speaker and microphone – use this link to set up an account

Smart phone or Tablet/ipad – Download the Zoom App (it looks like this)

Here is a great link, it will give you an overview and then you can find the device you wish to use. Go to Zoom support

Connecting:

  1. Complete an online registration for the class/course you going to attend
  2. You will be sent a link to register for your place in the Zoom class,
  3. once you have done this, an email will be sent with the meeting link.

For security purposes : We are now included a virtual waiting room (I will invite you into the meeting at the start of the session), this will ensure we know who is attending the class.

How to use:

Here are some great resources to help with your online adventure

From the Australian Government Be Connected program doing more with your device and how to make video calls

If you just want a succinct overview of the buttons onscreen within a meeting environment, one of the most succinct is this little video tutorial which is very up to date (only 3 weeks old) which covers connecting to Zoom for the first time as a participant and covers the audio, video buttons and most other basic functions within the participant screen.
