Gotta have the sauce on every meal, that’s the go for lots of people, me included! So here is a great sugar free alternative. I use it with my poached eggs for breakfast. To make pizza breads for lunch and with meat at a BBQ. Hint: you can grate up other vegetables to fill the can and double the other ingredients – undercover vegetables

Easy Tomato Sauce


400g can tomatoes with juice, roughly chopped
1/2 cup water
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 clove garlic, crushed (use garlic powder or leave it out!)
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley or 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
(try Mixed Herbs sometimes or some oregano)


Cook all ingredients together in a small saucepan or in the microwave.

Serve hot in a chunky style or mash, sieve or blend for a smoother sauce.

TIP:  This sauce can also be used as a spread for pizza or as a topping for pasta.
