What is the Off Your Feet program?

Off Your Feet – designed for those who have been cleared by their medical practitioner to start an exercise program but may feel a little unsure on their feet. This can be for several reasons including lack of mind and body connection because of stress and/or low fatigue management or a medical condition.
It is a seated exercise program designed to help you in getting moving and to embrace relaxation through exercise.
You may choose to watch the video first while having a cuppa, just to familiarise yourself with the program. Please use a strong and sturdy chair and always work within your comfort zone. You will receive 1 video per week for 4 weeks.

What is the On Your Feet program?

On Your Feet – for the person happy on their feet who wishes to discover the benefits of exercise.
You may choose to watch the video first while having a cuppa, just to familiarise yourself with the program. Please work within your comfort zone. You will receive 1 video per week for 4 weeks.

What is your Follow-on program?

Each week you will receive 1 video per week.
The Focus video will contain learning on a tai chi principle, focus idea to help with moving meditation and a way to add some depth to a move. This will help enhance our practice and keep things interesting.
In the Practice video you will notice as the weeks progress our location will change as I take you on a road trip around my neighbourhood close and wide.
You will have access to all your previously delivered videos, so you can mix it up to help you maintain regular practice.
Remember your On Your Feet & Off Your Feet lessons contain a great set of exercises to build strength and flexibility.

What should I wear?

Cool, comfortable clothing to allow for easy movement and footwear, if necessary, that suits your environment. Doing the program in the comfort of your home allows you to be in control of the environment.

What do I get for my money?

You will have 2 new videos delivered to your training portal each week for 4 weeks before moving on to the Follow-on classes. You will have access to all the videos after they are delivered through the program for the term of your subscription which makes a great way to review or re-visit your favourite session.

What is Brain Training?

The Brain Training will have us discovering our right from our left, a helpful way to get us to start being mindful about the placement of our hands. The most important thing is to have fun, this is really about just warming up and focusing on our body. Don’t worry too much about left and right, it took me months to get this activity happening. You can always practice at other times.

What is Play It Safe Skills?

They are a set of exercises designed to move the whole body and we are introduced to them progressively over the weeks during the On Your Feet or Off Your Feet programs.

What is Time Out Tai Chi?

Time Out Tai Chi has been developed to embrace tai chi moves encouraging calmness, serenity and stillness through movement. It is a nationally approved Fitness Australia CEC training program.

What is Qigong?

Qigong is a breathing exercise you practice for a long time to help you breathe using your whole body and is a great way to cool down after a workout.

Why do I have to answer the Pre-exercise Screening questions?

This is to help you assess your current health. It is always important to see your medical professional before making major lifestyle changes.

Why can’t I open my next session?

Under each video you will see a box mark complete” you need to click on this to get access to the next session. Don’t worry you can go back and review any of your previous videos when you want.
